Lucy is a 28 year old London-based artist with a fondess for crosshatching and teeny tiny details. Her work is almost exclusively done using a dip pen and acrylic ink, creating intricate and detailed pieces on a large scale. She uses an illustrative style to create a honey pot of line, colour and detail, taking the ideas of classical still-life compositions and modernising them.
She takes inspiration from teeming flowers, the colours of the jungle, exotic animals, studies in still life, summertime blues.
"I aim to exude positivity, charm and delicacy in my painting. I want each piece to transport the viewer into an illustrative wonderland where they notice the beautiful details in even the most mundane objects."
